A few weeks ago was a prime example for finding areas on the greens that do not receive enough sunlight and the reason why trees are being removed from those areas. On #2, #9, and #15 snow persisted to stay on the greens while all the other greens had thawed and no more snow was present. These photographs were taken mid morning after 95% of the snow had melted throughout the course. It was easy to see why these areas of the greens have developed slowly and are not 100% covered. Now with the trees removed we expected these areas to slowly catch up and reach 100% coverage once we have some optimum growing weather. Check out the before and after photos on #2 and #15 with the trees removed.
