Studies have shown the spring time weather is the most optimum and longest period of the four seasons to grow bentgrass. Typically when greens are hard and tight is an indication of good rooting structure normally in the spring and fall, whereas softer greens during the summer months, typically is an indication of bentgrass under stress and losing root structure. It is nice to enjoy good rooting structures during the spring.
