The collars have been a sore issue, but there are some signs of life. We have made some fertilizer applications as well as spray applications of hormones to encourage growth in the past couple days. Temperatures over the next several days look promising to stimulate some new plants. Optimum growing conditions typically occur when night temperatures exceed 60 degrees consistently. We will begin aerifing and topdressing some of the collars over the next couple of weeks to help growth.
After some reasonable growing weather I will survey the collars and determine which collars will need replacing and which collars will cover.
