At the beginning of the year in 2011 the golf course maintenance staff purchased new divot boxes for the Par 3 tees to house sand to fill divots. At the beginning of 2012 we were able to purchase the complete set of divot boxes for every set of tee markers on the Par 3s. Golfers now have available dry sand to fill their divots on the Par 3 tees. The divot boxes are made of recycled plastic wood that will give us a long useful life, great look to the course, and acheive a smoother, better playing surface when divots are filled. Currently the divot boxes are on the course ready to go. You will see some tees have a divot box on each side of the markers. Due to the small square footage of the tees we have doubled sets of markers to reduce the amount of space needed to rotate the tees. When the bermuda begins to grow we will separate the divot boxes to one box per set of tee markers. Each box is equipped with rollers and are very easy to move in a daily setup procedure. Please use the new divot boxes and fill your divots.
